Isabel Hardy

Isabel Oakes Hardy passed away December 5, 2016 at John Knox Manor in Montgomery, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Sidney Johnston Hardy, Jr.; father, John Mike Oakes; mother, Jenny Suther Oakes and all of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Hope Hardy Holt (Barry); granddaughter, Sidney Caroline Holt, grandson Barry “Reid” Holt, Jr., all of Montgomery; one sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a lifelong resident of Alberta, Alabama, and a member of the Gastonburg Methodist Church
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Lawrence Brown- Service Funeral Home. Everyone will then meet at the graveside service at 11:30 a.m. in New Live Oak Cemetery with her great-niece, Rev. Misty Edwards Barrett and Rev. Jim Waters officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Gastonburg United Methodist Church, Gastonburg, AL or The United Methodist Children’s’ Home.
