Jack Spencer

Jack Gordon Spencer passed away March 5, 2023 at the age of 90. He was born March 25, 1932 to the late V.K. Spencer and Lovie Spencer in Greensboro, Alabama.

He married Martha Spencer and they celebrated their 67th anniversary on January 21, 2023. Jack was a member of Elkdale Baptist Church in Selma. He was an Atomic Veteran of the U.S. Army and will be laid to rest at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort, Alabama.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Spencer; son, Dennis (Carolyn) Spencer; daughter, Debbie (Llew) Rollins; grandchildren, Britt Blaylock, Wes (Brittany) Spencer, Reid (Brittany) Spencer, Sara Spencer and Emily Spencer; great-grandchildren, Austin and Bailey.

The family would like to thank his special neighbors, Robert and Cassandra Smith and Bernie and Kay Redd for looking after our dad.

He will be laid to rest, along with his wife on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort with Dr. Jerry Henry officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma directing.
