Mr. James Antonio ���Tony��� Conaway,age 83, died at his home Wednesday September 22, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh L. and Inez Warden Conaway and his brother, Dr. John W. Conaway. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anne Brice Conaway; son, Doug Conaway (Denise); daughters, Pat Conaway Holley (Ralph) and Beth Conaway Godfrey; grandchildren, Chris Conaway, Kim Augustine, Will Holley (Holly), Alden Holley (Karen), Chad Godfrey, Samuel Conaway, Anthony Godfrey and Russell Conaway; great-grandchildren, Aris Stevens, Jada Holley and William Holley and his sister, Flora Conaway Painter and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday September 24, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Reverends Ron Stone and Henry Smith officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. Thursday night.
Mr. Conaway was a Elder of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Marion Junction, Associate member of First Presbyterian Church of Selma and a member of the Elks Club.
