James Burge

James "Gator" Burge passed away March 3, 2023 at the age of 51. He was born July 9, 1971 in Demopolis, Alabama to Evelyn Hibley Burge and the Samuel Burge, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Bomar Sherrill Tucker; brother, Christopher Burge and father-in-law, Earl Lee.

He is survived by his wife, Earline Burge; children, Kelsey Burge of Defuniak Springs, Florida, Amanda (Adam) Robbins of Selma, Dusty (MaCio) Burge of Selma, Jannie (Justin) Cashman of Selma, Samantha (Tay) Burge, Emily (Jaden) Burge of Selma, Cody Burge of Selma; nine grandchildren; mother, Evelyn (Walter) Seekers of Selma; father, Samuel Burge, Sr. of Jones; sister, Mechell (Charles) Elam; brothers, Samuel (Kristine) Burge, Jr. of Jones, Paul Lee Burge of Selma and Derrick Morris of Selma; four nieces; four nephews; mother-in-law, Annie Lee and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Pastor David Nichols officiating. The funeral service will be live streamed online at http://www.watchlawrence.live , via the funeral home's Facebook page. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 a.m., prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at a private burial at New Live Oak Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his work crew from Parnell.
