James Charles Utsey, age 83, of Selma, AL, passed away April 25, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ann "SuSu" Utsey, parents, Randolph Malcolm and Nell Hutchinson Utsey and brother, Jerry Lamar Utsey.
Surviving are his children, Chuck (Tara) Utsey, Brad (Courtney) Utsey, Sid Utsey and Bo, and Christy Utsey; brother, Malcolm Utsey; and grandchildren, Chase, Hardin, Holt, Perrin, Anne Hayes, Layken, Miah Sidda Lee and Bradley.
Graveside services will be Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Tony Hughes officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Utsey, Brad Utsey, Chase Utsey, Hardin Utsey, Holt Utsey, Perrin Utsey, Bo Levins, Jimmy Utsey and Randy Utsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Floyd Plummer, Leonard Ingram, Bill Neighbors, Harold Watts, Jim Thomas and Bill Cornett.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Alzheimer's Association Alabama Chapter, 2151 Highland Avenue, Suite 210, Birmingham, AL, 35205.
