James Harold Grover, age 72, of Selma, AL, passed away January 22, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Lee and Lilly Mae Grover and eight brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife, Inez Hull Grover, daughters, Betty A. (Mark) Smitherman and Brenda L. Myers; brother, Paul Grover; sisters, Dora Ernest and Millie G. Chandler; grandchildren, Christy Smitherman and Brittaney Myers (John) Gray; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and special friend and caretaker, Joe McWilliams. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Fancher officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Larry Grover, Dewayne Chandler, Wade Chandler, Greg Lenoir, Michael Longcrier, Gary Cleckler, John Fancher and Jimbo Mitchell. Mr. Grover owned and operated Grover Welding for twenty-six years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and doctors of Vaughan Regional Medical Center ICC unit.
