James Bruce Henderson, III passed away June 24, 2017, at the age of 66. He was born August 31, 1950, to the late Mr. and Mrs. James Bruce “Jimmie” Henderson, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Dale Henderson.
Bruce was an avid hunter, fisherman, and botanist. He served his beloved church, Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, as an Elder, Sunday School Teacher and choir member for many years. The later part of his life was also spent as a member of the Civitan Club.
He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Frances Caley Henderson; daughters, Kim Henderson (William) Lyon and Ellen Henderson (Josh) Warren; grandchildren, Will, Cale and Kathryn Lyon and Rebecca and Addison Warren; siblings, William (Lynn) Henderson, Laura Woddail and Lorraine Lee; brother-in-law, Frank (Margaret) Caley and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church with Rev. Steve Burton and Dr. George Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Marion Junction Cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00-1:45 p.m. in the Warren Room of Cornerstone Presbyterian.
Pallbearers will be the members of the Big Charlie Morris Sunday School Class.
