James Albert Hicks age 68 of Valley grande passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Park Place Nursing Home in Selma. He was born in Selma on November 30, 1950 to the late Wilburn W. Hicks and the late Sarah Annie Marsh.
He was a minister.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Hicks; children, James Matthew Hicks and Rachel Arner; grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Arner, Samuel Elijah Arner, Jack Hardin Fuller, and Abigail Marie Fuller; and brother, Leonard (Peggy) Hicks.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Sarah Hicks; and siblings, Wilburn W. Hicks, Jr. , Charles C. Hicks, and Mary Elizabeth Nalley.
No services have been scheduled as it was the wishes of Mr. Hicks to be cremated.
Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to Selma Funeral Home.
