James L Merchant

James L. Merchant passed away on March 25, 2025, on his 91st birthday. He was born March 25, 1934 to the late James Leo Merchant and Annie Inez Lawrence Merchant.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Frances Manderson Merchant; daughter, Myra Merchant (David) Ellis; son, James Stephen (Patricia) Merchant; grandchildren, Dalyn Ellis Farmer, David Scott Ellis and James N. Merchant; great-grandchildren, Ella Merchant, Hugh Merchant, Briggs Merchant and Erskin Merchant and sister, Florence A. Richey.

Graveside services will be Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma directing.
