James Nichols

James C. Nichols, age 82 of Selma, passed away on Sunday September 21, 2008 at his home. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday September 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande with Rev. Micah Gandy officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Mr. Nichols was retired from Alabama Power Company after 42 years of dedicated service, first as a collector then later a supervisor. Mr. Nichols is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Nichols, his sons, James A. Nichols (Barbara), Michael R. Nichols (Melinda), and his daughter, Patricia Ann Carnes (Larry). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Chris Nichols (Jeaneane), Brian L. Nichols (Tonya), Amy D. Vines, Angel Fucci, Samuel J. Evans, Zachery James Evans, Richard D. Nichols, Matthew T. Nichols, and numerous great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Sol Tepper Jr., Charlie Hubbard, Robert Ingram, Tommy Swindal, Paul Williams, and James Poe Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Brown, Larry Carnes, and Sydney Trammel. Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 23, 2008 from 6-8 at the funeral home.
