James David "JD' Robertson, age 81 passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. He was born in Mississippi on December 8, 1937 to Brownie Pethue Robertson and Ora Pugh Robertson.
He was a truck driver.
He is survived by his children; Diane Robertson of Selma, Benjamin P. (Annette) Robertson of Stanley, ND, Anita Barrett of Mobile, and Lee (Kayla) Robertson of Valley Grande; grandchildren, Morgan Barrett, Benjamin Robertson, Jr., Aaron Robertson, Jake Robertson, James Lee Robertson, Jr. , Blake Robertson, and Payton Cook; and a sister, Kathryn (Rusty) Blan of Excel, AL.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Camilla Ann Robertson; son, Marty Robertson; parents, Brownie and Ora Robertson; and sisters, Mary Gay Fischer and Mauzelle Edwards.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Woods Culpepper, Jr. officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family has requested no flowers, please make charitable contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
