Long-time Selma resident James S. "Stan" Johnson passed away Friday, December the 19th. He served 20 years in the United States Air Force and retired August 1st, 1972. He spent 22 years with Sears in Selma before retiring in 1993. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Frances Johnson, daughters Vicky (Ron) Thrower, Teresa Frost, Patty (Ricky) Wansley, Pam Johnson, one son, Jimmy (Norma) Johnson, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He was a long-time member of Calvary Assembly of God church and served as a board member and Sunday School Superintendent. Visitation will be held at Living Waters Church in Valley Grande on December 24th from 10am to 12pm with services immediately following with Reverend Buddy Salsman and Reverend John Varner officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing.
