James Thomas "Tommy" Tanton, age 64, of Selma, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015.
Mr. Tanton is survived by his wife, Dorothy Tanton; brothers, Ricky Tanton (Dora), Ronnie Tanton (Ann); brother in law, James Carter (Helen); nephews, Bradley Tanton, Wesley Tanton, Christopher Lee Tanton, John Tanton; nieces, Jan Barrett (Allen), Dianne Cooper, Tricia Carter; great- nieces, Ashley Carter, Katie Cooper, Madison Church and great- great niece, Sophie Goodman.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Allen Barrett, ,Doug Stewart, Bobby Browning, Bryan Browning, James Pryor, and Robert Burt.
Memorials can be sent to Gideons International, P.O. Box 212, Selma, AL 36702 and Barrett Road. United Methodist Church.
