James “Jim” Ralph Coburn passed away March 7, 2018 at the age of 89. He was born February 20, 1929 to the late to the late Ernest Paul and Myrtle Coburn.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Fred Coburn, Quinten Coburn, Crawford Coburn, Tom Coburn, Flossie Paden, Frances Jividen and Ruth Morton.
After retiring from civil service with the U.S. Air Force, he worked for many years at Gray’s Furniture.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Emily Baty Coburn; children, Tommy (Pam) Coburn, Linda (Michael) Mote and Phillip Coburn; grandson, Clay Coburn and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. A procession will follow to New Live Oak Cemetery for a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dan Taylor officiating.
Pallbearers will be Clay Coburn, Tommy Coburn, Kent Cogle, Gray Cogle, Steve Johnson, Greg Bjelke and David Paden.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to his caregivers, Rosetta Burns, Gloria Wells, Sheila Moore, Lois Rush, Shirley Hill, Geraldine Middleton and Syretha Tate.
