Janet Bennett Stone, age 84 of Selma passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma. She was born August 9, 1935 to the late William G. Bennett and the late Emma B. Williams Bennett.
She was a former Floor Lady for the Philly Cigar Company.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, James Howell Stone; children, James Randall (Meg) Stone, Bonnie (Mike) Fox, and Roger (Jackie) Stone; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings, Julia Hughey, Shirley (Robert) Stone, Bernice (Richard) Turner, Connie (Jackie) Phillips, Red Bennett, Johnny (Ann) Bennett, and Billy (Dorothy) Bennett; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Barlow; and siblings, James Leonard Bennett, Gene Bennett, Sara Nell Redd, Brenda Hisel, Frankie Bennett, Joe Bennett, William Bennett, and Edna Driver.
Funeral services will be private.
Pallbearers will be Allen Stone, Ryan Stone, Justin Fox, Austin Fox, Buddy Jones, and Ronald Gill.
