Jasper was a loving and devoted husband to his "Angel," whom he loved more than life itself. It was love at first sight from the day they met. He was a loving and patient father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a friend to all who met him. He served the Selma community for years as a custom cabinet maker and owned Pearson Woodworking until he retired. He touched many lives, even in his last days in the hospital, where he was often surrounded by nurses and others singing hymns, including his favorite song, "Amazing Grace."
