Jesse "Woody" Nichols, Sr.

Jesse "Woody" Woodrow Nichols, Sr. passed away July 9, 2019 at the age of 85. He was born December 2, 1933 to the late Mark Strickland and Ruby Estelle Marsh Nichols.

He was preceded in death by his sons, John Stewart Nichols and Steven Curtis Nichols; step-father, Oliver Homer Nichols, Sr.; brother, Oliver Homer Nichols, Sr. and granddaughter, Jessica L. Miller.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Annie Florence Campbell Nichols; children, Kathryn Diane Nichols, Jesse Woodrow (Dawn Marie) Nichols, Jr. and Kenneth Dawson (Jenny) Nichols, Sr.; grandchildren, Alicia Ann (Chuck) Brooks, Amanda Lee (Darrell) Gillian, John Stewart (Tammy) Nichols, Amy Michelle Nichols and Kenneth Dawson (DeAnna) Nichols, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Elisabeth (Jason) Richardson, Allison (Zack) Thompson, Billy "B.J." (Teirria) Moore, Ashley (Shane) Minor, Cody Ammons, Cory Miller, Jacob Miller, Lindsey Taylor Nichols, Hanna Jane Nichols, Sarah Nichols, Leigha Nichols and Dawson Orin Nichols; great-grandchildren, Daniel Christian, Marissa Abigail Wheatley, Brent Moore, Liam Stanford, Ava Stanford, Eden Stanford, Eli Thompson and Kyra Minor and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Blake officiating. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m.
