Jimmie D. Ford, Jr. passed away April 2, 2024 at the age of 81. He was born May 9,1942 to the late Jimmie D. Ford and Ruby Eiland Ford.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lola Jean Ford and Martha Halkias; brothers, Eugene Ford, David Ford, Richard Ford, Randy Ford and Donald Ford.
He is survived by his wife Lina McGraw; children, Teresa (Chris) Viramontez, Rose (Ken) Muse, Jerry Ford, James (Mandy) Ford and Jeff (Cassie) Ford; ten grandchildren fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Myrtle (Bill) Crowly, Sandra (Les) Fara and Hazel (Ricky) West; brothers, George (Hollis) Ford, Johnny Earl (Helen) Ford and Billy (Lisa) Ford and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jimmie was a renowned, highly sought after tree surgeon. His passions included fishing, horse racing, and wrestling. He loved spending time with family, especially fishing with his brothers and sons.Funeral services will be Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Ivy Creek United Methodist Church in Autaugaville, Alabama with Rev. Teresa Viramontez officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma directing. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Luke Greenlee, C.J. Viramontez, Dalton Muse, Jeremy Ford, Shayne Ford and Brayden Sims. Honorary pallbearers will be Jayden Ford, Weston Ford and Chastin Wilson.
