Jo Kennedy

Jo Myrle Colburn Kennedy, 82 and a resident of Selma, died Friday, December 11, 2009, at the home of her daughter, Theresa Williamson. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2009, at Church Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Fred Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Survivors include daughters Margaret Lucinda "Cindy" Kennedy and Theresa Myrle Kennedy (Michael) Williamson; grandsons Christopher Waldrop, Jordan (Christy) Williamson, Jacob (Jessica) Williamson, Parker Kennedy, Christian (Miranda) Williamson; brother Bill (Jeanie) Colburn; brother-in-law McGlaun Terry; and sisters-in-law Claire Parker and Sue Crunk. Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by her husband Robert Jackson Kennedy, Sr.; son Robert "Bob" Kennedy, Jr. and her sister Margaret Terry. Active pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends at Lawrence Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2009, and at Church Street United Methodist Church on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Church St. United Methodist Church or Affinity Hospice (205-478-6743)
