Troy Jerome "Joe" Sims of New Orleans, Louisiana, formerly of Selma, Alabama passed away on April 18, 2007. He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Sims; a son Troy Jerome Sims, Jr.; and a sister, Jennifer Sims.
Surviving are his mother, Mary Barnett; son James Sims; daughter Mary Jo Sims; brothers Bobby Barnett (LaJuana); David Barnett; Mike Sims (Sharon); and Kirk Sims (Doshia); and sisters Donna Sims Gardner (Ray); Allison Sims Tapley; Wynona Sims Kynard (Andy); Kelly Sims Holley (Bubba); Becky Barnett Anderson (Barry) and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Selma Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Joe Wyatt officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens.
