John Adams

John Thomas "Tom" Adams passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the age of 89. He was born April 1, 1929 to the late Walter and Eugenia Adams.He is survived by his wife, Betty Adams; sons, Mike (Sue) Adams and Wayne Adams; grandsons, John (Amber) Adams and Michael Adams, Jr.; great grandson Walt Adams.Tom attended Hueytown High School and after graduation, he enlisted in The United States Navy. After his service in the Navy he returned to Birmingham and was employed as an electrician lineman at U. S. Steel for 43 years. Upon retirement he and Betty moved to River Oaks where they lived for 18 years. He loved gardening and sharing his crops with friends.Graveside services will be Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. In the Orrville cemetery with Larry Nichols officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.Toms family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
