John Barlow

John B. Barlow passed away September 18, 2012. He was born April 21, 1924. He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Susie Parnell Barlow; son, John A. Barlow; brothers, E. L. Barlow, Frank Barlow and Billy Barlow, and sisters, Mary Thrash and Marquerite Davis. He is survived by his wife of seventy years, Dorothy Hollingsworth Barlow; children, David (Anita) Barlow, Patricia (Dempsey) Blackmon, George W. (Linda) Barlow, Roy Lee Barlow, Rlinda Duchesney and Gloria Mowery; sisters, Myra Etheridge and Mamie Tucker and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Pineview Memory Gardens with Gordon Gibbs officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. His grandsons will serve at pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Selmont Church of Christ, 3101 Old Montgomery Hwy., Selma, AL, 36703.
