John Buster Mayo III passed away August 22, 2016 at the age of 66. He was born April 25, 1950 to John Buster Mayo II and Mary Louise Cameron.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Louise Cameron; sister, Louise Mayo (George, Jr.) Wood; brother, Turner (Anne) Mayo; sister, Elizabeth (Bob) Nicholson; grandchildren, Minge Wright, Sara (Joey) Wilkinson, Kathryn (Doug) Winter, Carolyn Mayo, Turner Mayo, Jr., Joseph (Heather) Middleton, Clay Allen, Grace Allen, John Mayo, Sam Mayo, Robert (Laney) Nicholson and David (Liz) Nicholson.
John worked on the family farm his entire life and also worked for Jim Wheeler at B.P. and C.P.S.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Sardis, Alabama with Dr. David Thomas and Dr. George Wood, Jr. officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Teddy Pouncey, Josh Pouncey, Johnathan Pouncey, Jim Carter, Frank Smith, Charlie Rives, David Wayne Hollingshead, Johnny Stringer, Rodney Rives and Bob Cullpepper.
