John "Jay" Joseph Harrison

November 4, 1971 — May 24, 2024

Jay Harrison passed away May 24, 2024 at the age of 52. He was born November 4, 1971 to the late Thomas F. "Ba" Harrison and Shirley Abrams Harrison.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifton and Evelyn Harrison; uncles, Frank Abrams and Tom McRee; aunt, Minnie Abrams and his best friend, whom he loved like a brother, Mike Friday.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Ray Harrison; children and stepchildren, Kyndal Harrison, Chelsey (Emmanuel) Freeman, Nathan York, Alex York, Dylan York, Samantha Ray and Andrew Ray; grandson, Corbin Malcom Freeman and brother, Michael Harrison.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Pastor JB Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 6:00 p.m., prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in his memory to The American Cancer Society.
