John Pickering

John Allen Pickering, 85, of Plantersville, AL died August 3, 2011 at his home. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 5, 2011 at Plantersville Christian Cemetery with Rev. Mike Wyatt officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Mr. Pickering is survived by his sons, John A. Pickering, Jr. (Cynthia), Jimmy L. Pickering (Karen), and Floyd E. Pickering (Vickie); granddaughters, Amy P. Sebren (David) and Lea P. Lawrence (James Thomas); great grandchildren, Samantha and Bradley Sebren and Colton Lawrence; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Jean Pickering; his brothers, Lester E. Pickering and James D. Pickering; sister, Sara Stough. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Pickering, Harvey Pickering, Les Pickering, Doug Pickering, Jr., Robert Colee, Benny Simmons, and Al Henderson.
