Mr. John Wilkerson passed away November 21, 2014. He was born July 24, 1940 to the late John Pastor and Maude Wilkerson.
He is also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy "Oneda" Wilkerson; sons: Kenneth (Barbara) Wilkerson, Sr. and John Paul (Renee') Wilkerson; daughter, Sherry (David) Hand; grandchildren: Kenny Wilkerson, Kayla Ross, Whitney Ross, William Wilkerson, Conner McMillian, Landon McMillian, Drew Dempsey, Corey Dempsey, Holland Dempsey; great grandchildren: Trevor Wilkerson, Trayton Wilkerson, Shaelynn Wilkerson, Cade Ross, Skylar Ross, Kayleigh Hunter, Jaxon Dempsey, C.J. Ross, Addie Ross; and brother: Devan (Adalene) Wilkerson.
Funeral services will be Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery in Uniontown, Alabama. Visitation will be Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Wilkerson, William Wilkerson, Landon McMillan, Conner McMillan, Allen Canterbury, J.R. Howard, James White and Mark Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be: Glenn Johnson, Wiley Wilkerson, Donnie Hare, Dexter Hare, Jimmy Hare, and Perry Harvell.
