John Wood

John E. Wood passed away August 3, 2019 at the age of 76. He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Wood, his mother, Kathleen Wood, and his sister, Linda Wood Blakeway.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Wood and sister Sara Wood Graves of Fort Collins, CO.; four children, Kimberly Hitt (Robbie), Gerald Wood, Glenn Wood (Debbie) and Shannon Wood; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Aaron Thornton, Travis Westbrook, Wilbur Sanders, Zach Sanders, Davey Davenport and Glen Hayes.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., with funeral services to follow at 11:00 in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with pastor Joe Raker officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
