Johnny B. Holland

Mr. Johnny “John” B. Holland of Tyler, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Prattville Baptist Hospital at the age of 74.

He was born in Statesboro, GA on July 17, 1949 to the late Robert Holland and the late Jennell Wilson Holland.

He was the former Deputy Site Manager for FEMA here in Selma. He served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force. 

John is survived by his wife, Kathy Holland; children; Katherine Gail Seago (Paul), John Patrick Holland (Carey); and Elizabeth Anne Holland; grandchildren, Kennedy Holland, Coleman Seago, Walker Holland, and Presley Seago; and his sister, Virginia Edwards.

He is preceded in death by his parents. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Chandler and Rev. Ron Gordon officiating. 

Interment with military honors will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande, Alabama.

Pallbearers will be Paul Seago, David Hamilton, Brian Free, Robbie Rose, Randy "Hippie" Johnson, and Jeff Hamilton. 

Honorary pallbearers will be William Riley, Mike Wilson, Marshall Davis, Tony Bjelke, Tommy Hamilton, and Vernae Childrey.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
