John Turner Haskell of Selma, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at the age of 74.
He was born in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Charles Warren Haskell, Sr. and the late Ann Lou Turner Haskell on June 17, 1948.
He was a conductor for Norfolk Southern Railroad.
He was the husband of 50 years to Linda Trammel Haskell, a Veteran, a member of the Selma Lions Club and the manager of the Central Alabama Fair. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and will forever be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Trammel Haskell; children, Scott Haskell (Lynn), Joy Haskell (Danny Oglesby), and Russell Haskell (Traci); grandchildren, Anthony Haskell (Jamie), Sydney Blackmon, Taylor Haskell, Heather Bedgood, Patrick Haskell, Savanna Blackmon, Preston Haskell, and Kaylee Haskell; great-grandchildren, Jayden Haskell, Addy Agee, Everly Haskell and Waylon Agee; sister, Ruth Ann Haskell Mott (Glenn); nephew, JR Mott; and great-nephew, Owen Mott.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. Haskell, Sr., and Ann Lee Turner Haskell.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Diane Everette officiating.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Haskell, Patrick Haskell, Preston Haskell, Taylor Haskell, Danny Oglesby, Quinton Stephens, and Sheriff Mike Granthum.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Selma Lions Club.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Selma Funeral Home.
