Joseph W. Casey, age 81 of Selma passed away on Friday July 23, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday July 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry W. Light, Sr. officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing and burial following at New Live Oak Cemetery.
Mr. Casey is survived by his wife, Barbara Logan Casey, his son, Ernest Scott Casey, his daughter, Lisa Casey Jewell, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brothers, William Lamar Casey, Jerry H. Casey, Ernest Lamar Casey and a sister, Lois Casey Harris.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Casey, Bill Casey, Glenn Garrett, Jack Callen, Ray Mathiews, and Ben Cosby.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the First Baptist Church, Maverick Sunday School Class for the Kitchen Renovation Fund.
The family will receive friends on Saturday July 24, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
