Joseph Rush

Mr. Joseph Leo Rush, age 92, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010. Preceding Mr. Rush in death were his wife, Sarah Seymore Rush; son, Jerry Rush; son-in-law, Ceigel Miley; brothers, Jim Rush and John Howard Rush; sisters, Nola Rush and Alma Sanders; grandson-in-law, Tommy L. Rose; grandson, Junior Rush and great grandchildren, Joshua Bender and McKinley Jacobs. Mr. Rush is survived by his daughter, Peggy Miley; daughter-in-law, Hazel Rush; grandchildren, Daniel Bender, Kathy (Donald) Weathers, Patti (Roger) Jacobs, Ann (Johnny) Bennett, Brenda Rose, Cathy (Johnny) Dunagan and Kerri (Chris) Gilliam; great grandchildren, Brittney Bender, Joseph Bender, Todd Weathers, Adam Weathers, Jamie (Charlie) King, C.J. Bollinger, Chelsea (Nick) Rice, David Cole Jacobs, Jenny Agee, Lisa Bennett, Alex Rose, Tommy Rose, Jr., Cindy Lolley, Patrick Lolley, Casey Lolley, Randall Dunagan, Nicholas Alford and Madilynn Gillian. He is also survived by four great-great grandchildren and niece, Maxine Stough. Visitation will be Monday, August 23, 2010 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Selma Funeral Home with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bruce Hutton, Charles Gullett, Benny Austin, Berry Vines, Terry Hughes and Don Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Northside Baptist Church and members of the Harmony Sunday School class.
