Judith Elaine Henderson, a woman whose life was a tapestry of love, kindness, and adventure, passed away on May 12, 2024. Born on July 16, 1949, in Selma, Alabama, Judith touched the lives of many with her warmth compassion.
One of the most captivating aspects of Judith's life was her love story with her husband, Michael. Their union began in Selma in March of 1971 when they crossed paths while Michael was stationed at Craig Air Force Base. The bond they formed blossomed into marriage on September 18, 1971. Together, they embarked on adventures around the globe due to Michael's military service in the Air Force. From Germany to Pease Air Force Base in New Hampshire, from New York to Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, their journey was filled with shared experiences that forged an unbreakable connection. The couple eventually settled down in Leeds, Alabama following Michael's military retirement in 1994.
Judith will be remembered for her adventurous spirit but also for the profound impact she had on those around her. She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Henderson and son, Christopher Henderson.
Judith’s legacy will continue to live on through the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Blunt officiating. Interment will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.
