Jule Hughes

Jule Ann Raine Hughes, age 76, of Selma, AL, passed away September 4, 2010. She was preceded in death by her mother, Buena Glass Beck; step-father, Franklin King Beck and father, Joel Raine; son, Robert Evans Hughes, II; brother, Robert Eugene Raine and first cousin, Marie Boyd. Mrs. Hughes is survived by her husband, William Evans Hughes, son, William Franklin Hughes; daughters, Wanda Hughes (Stanley) Burns and Renee Hughes (Chris) Saxon; grandchildren, Lindsey Michell McClerin, Robert Evans Hughes, III, Joel Austin Hughes, Ashley Hughes Higa, Jennifer Renee Hughes, Ryan Collin Hughes, Anna Marie Conner, Lauren Elizabeth Hughes and Evan Mason Hughes; great-grandchildren, Carmen Hughes and Michael Higa; daughter-in-law, Lisa Connor Hughes; brother, Robert Benjamin (Barbara) Hughes; sisters-in-law, Rosalind Raine, Voncile Hughes Wilson and Juanita Hughes (Randall) Shell and life long friend, Loraine Riddle. Graveside services will be Monday, September 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Bro. Aaron Ellis officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 5, 2010 from 6-8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Robert Evans Hughes, III, Joel Austin Hughes, Ryan Collins Hughes Stanley Wayne Burns, Chris Wade Saxon, Tom Wynne and Dr. Chris Mutai. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to be made to Central Alabama Animal Services, P. O. Box 591, Selma, AL or a charity of choice.
