Julia Craig Miller, died January 1, 2014. A native and lifelong resident of Selma, Alabama, she was born July 11, 1915 to Kate Young and Thomas Hosea Miller.

She was a graduate of the University of Alabama where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Selma. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Mary Muckle Miller Lamar and two great - great nephews.

She is survived by her niece, Mary Kay Klyce (John) of Birmingham; nephews, William Bibb Lamar, Jr of Mobile, and Thomas Miller Lamar of Pueblo, Colorado; three great nieces and two great nephews; five great-great nieces and four great-great nephews.

The family thanks special friends Sandra Mitchell and Frances Jones. Also, thanks to caregivers and friends Tshanda Shears, Parilee Anderson, Loretta Jones, and Gloria Shears.

Graveside Services will be held at Old Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, Alabama on January 4, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. Reverend Candice Burk Frazer, associate Rector at St. Johns Episcopal Church in Montgomery, Alabama will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to First Presbyterian Church, 301 Broad Street, Selma, Alabama or Cahaba Hospice, Inc., 410 Church Street, Selma, Alabama.
