June Wampler Williamson, age 86, passed away November 27, 2010. She was born in Bristol, Tennessee on March 26, 1924, and later attended Hiwassee College in Madisonville, Tennessee. After graduating from Hiwassee, she married in 1945 to Gene Williamson who was in the U.S. Navy and stationed in Oklahoma City. Shortly afterwards they moved to Orrville, Alabama where she lived the remainder of her life in the Molett's Bend community. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Verna Wampler; husband, Gene Williamson; brothers, Louis, Clyde, Fred, Paul, and Snow Wampler. She is survived by her son Larry (Judy) Williamson of Orrville; granddaughter Juanita (Jeremy) Barrett of Warner Robins, Georgia; grandson Sylvester Williamson of Auburn; great-granddaughters Reagan and Madison Barrett; brother Jimmy (Maxine) Wampler of Orrville; numerous nephews and nieces; and special friends and neighbors. Services will be Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Cambridge Christian Church Cemetery at Five Points in Orrville at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Jeremy Barrett officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service at the church. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cambridge Christian Church, Orrville Methodist Church or Cahaba Hospice.
