Karen Sue McElhaney, loving mother and wife of Selma, Alabama, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 at the age of 65. She is survived by her husband, Mark McElhaney, son, Marc McElhaney, brother Mark Peterson (Janet), brother Buddy Karody, and many nieces and nephews.
Karen moved to Selma in 1984. She soon met her husband and they were married for thirty years. Karen was a devoted mother and wife. She had a passion for animals and enjoyed riding horses. Karen was employed at Selma Animal Hospital for thirty-one years. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Selma Funeral Home Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m.
