Katheryn “Katy” Michelle Cooper

Katheryn “Katy” Michelle Cooper of Lake View, Alabama, passed away at her home on Friday, August 18, 2023 at the age of 38. 

She was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on April 19, 1985. Katy proudly attended American Christian Academy and later served her country as a Private in the United States Army.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Preston Cooper; son, Matthew Cooper; mother, Jennifer Graham Kunz (Jimmy); siblings, Brianna N. Kunz and CJ Seroux; step-brothers, AJ Kunz (Judith) and Corey Kunz; grandparents, Charles F. Graham, Jr. and Ann Skelton; aunts and uncles, Sandra Graham Quinn (Tim) and Darryl Graham; niece and nephew, Delaney Kunz and Kailand Cooper; cousins, Haylea Quinn and Shane Quinn; and grandmothers-in-law, Sally Weathers and Mary Jones.

She is preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jimmy Weathers, Jr. and Doris Weathers; great-grandparents, Prince Lewis, Flora Lewis, Charles F. Graham, Sr., and Mamie Lett Graham; and her grandfathers-in-law, Jimmy Weathers, Sr. and Edgar Cooper.

Funeral services for Katy will be held from the Unity Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa , Alabama on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m..

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m..

Final care and arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to the Selma Funeral Home of Valley Grande, Alabama.
