Preceding Mrs. Rowan in death were her husband Eugene Rowan, her sister, Mary Sue Mullen and her son in law, Rodger W. Sundgren.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn (Bill) Madden and Gene (Jamie) Henderson; grandchildren, Nicole Sundgren (Shane) Harterink, Brad W. (Jennifer) Sundgren, Jess A. (Megan) Henderson and Claire Henderson (Kendall) Gibbs; great grandchildren, Mac Henderson, Allen Sundgren, Jamison Harterink, Ellen Claire Gibbs and Kathryn Harterink.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2009 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. George K. Jones, Sr. officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Jess A. Henderson, Brad Sundgren, Kendall Gibbs, Shane Harterink and Tripp Bowie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Cancer Society, 1100 Ireland Way # 300, Birmingham, AL 35205-7014
