Mr. Kenneth "Ray" Hollingshead age 76 of Selma, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
He was born in Selma on May 8, 1945 to the late Herman and Willie Mae Hollingshead.
Ray was an avid golfer and had genuine love for the game. He was one of the best around. He also loved a good game of pool. Ray was just simply a good guy. He loved to be with family and friends and have a good time.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Hollingshead and her daughter, Tara; grandchildren, Buddy Cason and Braiden Parker; sister, Kathern Smith; sister-in-law, Lisa (Mike) Reynolds; brother-in-law, Ron Edwards; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and his close friend, Butch Curtis.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Willie Mae Holingshead; and siblings, Hubert Hollingshead, Voncil Woodward, Mae Charles Selman, Bonnie Church, Bill Hollingshead, Doris Hill, Curtis "Bubba" Hollingshead, Doyle Hollingshead, and Nell Burton.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:00am at the Ocmulgee Golf Course with Mike Reynolds and Ron Edwards officiating.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Praise Park Church of the Nazarene.
