Kenneth Gerald ���Jerry��� LaPorte, age 64, of Selma, born June 13, 1945, died February 27, 2010. Graveside services will be held Tuesday March 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Frank LaPorte and Bernice S. LaPorte. He is survived by his son, Daryl Todd LaPorte of Birmingham and daughter, Sheri LaPorte Bailey (Tommy) of Salado, TX, grandson, Todd Bailey, granddaughter, Brooke Bailey, two stepdaughters, Laurie Ross (Eddie) of Deatsville and Allison Farrow (Carl) of Salado, TX, his brother, Glenn R. LaPorte (Syd), nephews, Lee and Frank LaPorte, nieces, Rene��� Pouncey (Josh), Amy Reeves (Edgar), Sydney Griffith (Daryl) and Marguerite Curry (Hobson).
Pallbearers will be his nephews Lee LaPorte, Frank LaPorte, Josh Pouncey, Edgar Reeves, Daryl Griffin and Hobson Curry.
