Kenneth Edward Williamson passed away September 24, 2016 at the age of 86. He was born June 21, 1930 to the late Clarence Suydam Williamson and Helen Isabelle Williamson.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Suydam Williamson and sister, Marion Williamson Hagood.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lorraine Jowers Williamson; sons, Gary M. Mayton and Ted Donald Smith; daughter, Joy Smith (Woody) Collins; grandchildren, Gina Lane, Chad Mayton, Donavan Smith, Ashley Smith Ellis, Christopher Collins and Marshall Collins; nephews, Karl (Michele) Hagood and Robert Williamson; nieces, Susan (Freddie) Cannon and Janet Williamson.
Funeral services will be Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Aimwell Baptist Church - 2770 County Road 17; Sweet Water, Alabama. Visitation will be at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Private burial will follow in the church cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. The family will also receive friends at Mrs. Williamson's home on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Marshall Collins, Christopher Collins, Chad Mayton, Taylor Rowlett, Donovan Smith and Austin Lightfoot. Honorary pallbearers will be Wade Hamil, Dr. Boyd Bailey, Nicholas L. Horne, III and Butch Curtis.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lindsay Owens with Asera-Care Hospice and Warren Manor Nursing Home for their loving care.
