Kevin Parr, age 56, of Selma, AL went to be with the Lord surrounded by family after a long battle with brain cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Carolyn Parr.
Surviving are his wife, Connie Parr; son, Eric (Samantha) Parr; sister, Rhonda Parr; loving family, and numerous friends.
Kevin's passion and love for God was demonstrated in his daily walk and in the impact he had on countless family, friends, and those who knew him. Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world. - 1 John 4:4
Funeral services will be Friday, April 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkdale Baptist Church with Rev. Cory Horton and Rev. Bob Frazer officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Elkdale Baptist Church from 5-7:00 p.m. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Rick Barrett, Burt Beers, Ricky Boozer, Mike Fondren, Tim Gibbs, David Summerlin, Dan Taylor, Jerre Yeager and Mel Gilmer. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Elkdale Worship Band and Lighthouse Bible Study.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to pediatric brain cancer research.
