Larenzo Bender Sr

September 17, 1929 — February 18, 2013

Lorenza Lee Bender Sr., age 83, of Burnsville, Born September 17, 1929. He passed away Monday, February 18, 2013.

He has been a changed person since he accepted God as his Savior and married his wife Annie Jo. He has been a member of Pisgah Presbyterian Church for 38 years. He was Sunday school superindent and Elder of the church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and dad: James Alton and Ina Lee Bender of Braggs, AL; brother: James Elbert Bender and son in law: Albert Carden.

Mr. Bender is survived by his six children: Coline (Larry) Sheffield, Lee (Babs) Bender II, Clair Carden, Jerry (Debra) Bender, Sarah (Tommy) Harris, and Lloyd Alton "Corky" (Martha) Bender. He is also survived by three step children: Jimmy (Alene) Brooks, Jimmy (Pat) Tate, and Bill (Lynn) Marsh.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Pastor Ira Blanchard of Pisgah Presbyterian Church and Rev. Allen Yarbrough of Cross Point Church. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service. Burial will follow at Braggs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons: Lee Bender III, Paul Bender, Austin Bender, Andy Brown, Leslie Nelson, Thomas Harris. Honorary pallbears will be Donald Dempsy, John Long, Bud Cravoto, Ron Davis, and Mike Reynolds.
