Larry Alton Chance, age 66, of Selma, AL, passed away on December 30, 2013.
He is preceded in death by his father, Elwood Chance.
He is survived by his mother, Lessie Franklin Chance Heartsill; wife, Althea Harrison Chance; son, Chadwick A. Chance; daughter, Courtney Althea Chance; brother, Jerry Adrian Chance; furbabies, Oscar, Heinrick, and Penny; cat, Watussi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014 at New Live Oak Cemetery with lifelong friend, Eddie Staggers officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
He was employed by International Paper for 32 years.
He was a member of the BPOE - Elks of Selma for 20 years.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Harris, Bill Newsome, Jarred Chance, Kendell Jones, John Paul Jones (Buddy), and Steve Sansom.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The Autism Society Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy fund.
