Laverne Ferguson Smith, age 84, of Selma, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wentfred Smith; daughter, Linda Gail Willis, and son; Julius Wayne Riddle.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter: Darlene Marie (Earl) Burton of Selma; grandchildren: Sherri (Raymond) Campbell of Selma, Kathy (Clay) Daughtry of Cleveland, AL, Shelly Breed of Selma, Terry Hegwood of Stringer, MS, Tony Hill of Perry Co, Casey Burton (Brooks Lenoir) of Selma, Shannon Burton of Montgomery, and 9 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Rod Rochester officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at 1:00 on Wednesday at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Campbell, Clay Daughtry, Clay Daughtry Jr, Logan Campbell, Brooks Lenior, and Tommy Gaylor.
