Libby McCormick

Libby Perry McCormick, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away February 25, 2016 at the age of 86. Mrs. McCormick was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Marion Swift McCormick; parents, George Robert and Myrtie Parton Perry; sister, Soule` O'Laughlin and brothers, J.B. and Therman Perry. She is survived by her sister, Veva (Jake) Jakabson; brother, Stanley (Bonnie) Perry; daughters, Julie McCormick Yelverton and Emily McCormick (David) Massey; grandchildren, David (Kelly) Massey III and Amanda (John) Wolf; great grandchildren, Ashby Massey, John Wesley Wolf, Natalie Massey, Spivey Massey, Connor Massey, Samantha Grether, Laura Whitney Scurlock, Chris Bohannon, Cody Bohannon and Katelyn Hopkins. Libby took much pleasure in her children and grandchildren. Her love for her family, and her faith in the Lord was her greatest joy. Graveside services will be at New Live Oak cemetery Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ken Blake officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Serving as pallbearers will be Ashby Massey, John Wesley Wolf, Spivey Massey, Chris Bohannon, Cody Bohannon, Eugene McCormick, William McCormick, Jr., Fred McCormick III and John McCormick. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association 7167 Mobley Walk Dr, Columbus, GA 31904 or a favorite charity.
