Lillian Irene Vick Clibrey

Lillian Irene Vick Clibrey of Selma, passed away peacefully at Park Place Nursing Home in Selma at the age of 96.

She was born in Safford, Alabama on May 26, 1927 to the late George Vick and the late Mary Shumate Vick.

Mrs. Clibrey was a homemaker. Being the wife of a military husband, she got to see the world. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her greatest love next to her love for her Savior.

Mrs. Clibrey leaves behind her children, Rosemary C. Folsom (Dana) and John Clibrey; grandchildren, Mary Susan Hale (John Brian), Drew Rives (Brady), and John William Clibrey; great-grandchildren, Brody Crovato, John Braxton Hale, Rives Crovato, Coleman Rives, and Walton Rives; son-in-law, Jimmy Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Earl "Dick" Clibrey; daughter, Susan Clibrey Anderson; and siblings, George Willard Vick, Walter Ervin Vick, Vera Dickson, Laura Gates, Ethel Friday, Ida Dell Brown, Dewey Vick, Brooks Vick, Mittie Rickard, and Alice Wiggins.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande.

There will be no visitation, everyone please meet in the cemetery.
