Lois Chappell von Seeberg Sanford passed away January 5, 2022 at the age of 84 after a lengthy illness. She was born September 25, 1937 to the late James and Enda Chappell von Seeberg in Montgomery, Alabama.
Graveside services will be Saturday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Bishop Charles Jones officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Lois taught at Morgan Academy for many years and was a long time member of Christ The King C.E.C. and Kappa Delta sorority.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Lee Sanford; their children, James Robert “Bobby Sanford, Elizabeth Louise “Beth” Sanford, Owen Lee (Michelle) Sanford and Michael McQueen (Kay) Sanford; grandchildren, Adam (Brooke) Sanford, Rebekah Sanford (Joe) Hicks, John Michael Sanford and Chappell Ann Sanford; great-grandchildren, Parker Sanford, Ella Rae Sanford, Joseph William Hicks and Kathryn James Hicks; sister, Edith von Seeberg Jones; niece, Susannah Jones Cleveland and nephew, David Jones.
Pallbearers will be Will Sanford, Adam Sanford, David Jones, George Jones, Andy Stewart, Floyd Plummer, Tommy King, and Phillip Coburn
