Louise Freeland

Louise Black Diamond Freeland, age 85, passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 in a Birmingham hospital. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Alford Diamond and A.W. "Chic" Freeland; six brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Mitchell and Betty (Tommy) Lovoy; grandchildren, Keith (Traci) Mitchell and Angie (David) Vasquez; great grandchildren, Bradley Jones, Haleigh Mitchell, Hillary Mitchell and Harrison Mitchell; special friend, Stella Capps and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, April5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Selma Funeral home with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery, Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the building fund at Northside Baptist Church, 2950 Citizens Parkway, Selma, Al 36701 or you may make them to a favorite charity.
