Lowell "Rusty" Booker passed away March 4, 2025 at the age of 70. He was born July 20, 1954 to the late Frankie McDaniel Booker and Bennie Lee Booker.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Price "Stanley" Booker and Ben "Terry" Booker and sister, Joyce Pheonix.
He worked at International Paper in Maplesville from 1976-2006 as a millwright. He worked at Miller and Co. from 2006-2014. He was an avid hunter and welder. He enjoyed reading, working and music. He was a great provider for his family. He was a simple person and well liked by his friends.
He leaves behind a beautiful family; his lifelong companion, Vickie Booker; daughter, April Ezelle, Heidi (Chad) Dean; grandchildren, Sophie Dean, Chloe Dean, Christopher Ezelle, Christian (Logan) Luckie; great-granddaughter, Emerlyn Wheeler and his loving faithful dog, Hank.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 7, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma with Randall Robinson officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home in Selma on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Pineview Memory Gardens at a later date.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Monk, Jr., Christopher Ezelle, Chad Dean, Timothy Hatfield, Logan Luckie and Nate Woods.
